Believes the minds and lives of young people are fragmented more than ever before
He thinks that young people have less time for reflection, introspection (examining their own emotions), and their alone time are scarce
Young people are starting to lose the essence/importance of belonging to a community because they have instant access to someone on the Internet 24/7
He is concerned about how this will effect staples of humankind such as intimacy, imagination, democracy, and citizenship
